Augustana is coming to Simmons!

If you haven't heard the news yet, stop and mark your calendars now as the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and the Office of Student Activities and Leadership (OSLA) announce the date for the annual spring concert on April 20th! We are very excited to be welcoming AUGUSTANA to the stage as the headliner of the evening.

In late November a survey was sent out to the Simmons undergrad community to vote on the genre of the concert and collect suggestions for artist. CAB then narrowed down the artist in the Rock/Alternative genre to: Cartel, Ra RA Riot, Shiny Toy Guns, Augustana, Parachute, Mayday Parade, Safety Suite, Secondhand Serenade and Karmin. Based on over 300 votes from Simmons students and the availability of the band Augustana was selected to perform for the show. Augustana had also been the top choice last year; but wasn't available for the date so CAB is super excited to be able to bring them in this year!

The entire show will be student produced through the help of Simmons students who will start in the am loading in staging, sound, and lights for the show, serving as additional security during the show, and rolling up their sleeves after the show late into the night helping to load everything back out of the building. If you are a current student and interested in being a member of the Concert Staff please contact Amy Bliss, Major Events Chair for CAB at

For those of you who want to experience what promises to be an amazing show; tickets will go on sale in the end of March so be on the lookout for posters and more information.
