Preparation for you BIG day!

Posted by Julia Devine

It has nothing to do with your wedding, or prom, or anything overly exciting, but I figured it would be a good idea to discuss how to prepare for any type of oral surgery. However, for the sake of this blog, I think I’ll just stick to prepping for wisdom tooth extraction. The day before I had my wisdom teeth out I was a complete idiot. I went out and partied, drank too much, puffed a few too many, and woke up the next day (bright and early) with a fantastic hangover. I recovered by the time I got to the doctor’s office, but it was still a poor choice on my part. Basically, the day before any surgery you should always:
Get a good night sleep
Don’t smoke
Don’t drink
Eat a good meal the night before, but make sure you don’t eat, or drink, anything the day of surgery. That’s basically how you choke and die under general anesthesia.
Wear comfortable clothing
Remove all jewelry
And basically get ready for lounging around and doing absolutely nothing the next few days!
