Dont Forget Simmons Offers Discounts and Give Aways

After my communications 122 Class with Professor Porter I headed over to the GIrls Night Out Event that Emma was telling the class about. The event started at 5p.m. and is to end at 8p.m. tonight. The setup of the event was super organized, had great music, and the food was great! You can totally tell a lot of time and effort went into the planning of this event. I would say there was 20 or more companies at the event. All of which were giving away free products as they promoted direct selling. Not only did I get some great free things but learned something new. I am not a business/mangement major so there was alot I could benefit from.
It is important to keep an ear out about these kind of events. Not only are they educational but you can get some cool gifts as well. Great Job to Emma and the other ladies that worked on the event with her!
Something else to remember is that Simmons has regular discounts able to its students. For example discounted tickets to the New England Aquarium and movie tickets. Then at random times the Box Office will have discounted Bruins and Red Sox tickets. I actually bought Red Sox tickets this June for $30 each through Simmons. Last week the Box Office had Bruins tickets for $20 a piece. So, it is important to read those annoucements that pop up in our emails. If you are not sure if the box office offers discounts on certain items just stop by and ask. Also, make sure you ask where you may be if they have student discounts.
