Celebrity Kids (Someday you may have some)

So I've been doing a lot of thinking. About Tom Cruise. Yes, I know this sounds like a perfectly normal cliche...thinking about Tom...but actually I've been thinking about what it would be like to be Tom Cruises kid.
Now, I'm sure the obvious answer would be :Rich! I was thinking more like, damaging. Your entire life is documented. Every outfit your mother ever bought from Armani. Every trip to Auntie Oprahs couch; but what about when you are older? How about that day that your Dad said he couldn't come to your recital and because of the power of the paparazzi and the internet you can really find out he was vacationing in the alps with a bunch of half naked women? (Well, maybe not Tom Cruise).
The point is a celebrity kid can fit together all of those pieces like a private investigator. Want to know why your mom was cranky all through your 2nd grade year? Oh, that's because she had a stinky movie out, was caught not wearing underwear and went to rehab. Hmm....All you really needed to know was that she was angry when you were 8, not what was going on in her life.
This is not just a celebrity issue. We record every single second of our being now. Through txts, digital cameras, blogs...If in 20 years you try and tell your kids that you were a perfect angel in college who never got into trouble...they are so going to know you are lying. By then Google will rule the world and they will with one search be able to find every friendster,facebook, myspace,twitter, drunken picture, credit card record you have ever touched and know way to much about you.
And here I didn't know my Mom had ever smoked until last year.
