Nit-picking Bride

I'm starting to feel pretty bad for my soon-to-be brother-in-law, Dave, after spending a weekend with him and my sister. With their wedding fast-approaching, my sister is getting on him about every little thing...including his fingernails.
As a nail-bitter, (I know it's a gross!)I know how hard of a habit it is to quit. I make it my New Year's Resolution every year to stop, but by February I always find myself doing it again. Luckily for me, I'm the only one who really cares.
Dave, on the other hand, has some one who really cares... my sister. She is insisting that he stop biting his nails NOW, so that by the time their weding comes in June, he will have nice fingernails for the photos. The poor guy gets slapped on the wrist every time his hand goes near his mouth. If I were him I'd be biting my nails even more out of sheer fright--is he marrying his mother?
She hasn't said anything to me about it yet, but I'm sure I'm next. Obviously, a bridesmaid with ugly fingernails could ruin the whole day.

The only thing that worked for me to quit biting my nails was to get braces on my teeth... the fingernails couldn't fit after that.
But, I guess braces would be just as bad for the photos...
