As a Democrat I must say that I have always had an affinity for a good old fashioned strike. Even as I have aged and developed more moderate fiscal leanings I still love the power that a union holds when they say that they will not work unless they are treated more fairly by “the man”. It is really beautiful to me the power that a small group of people holds when they strike. It’s cheesy to say, but its one of the things that makes America a truly great country!
With that being said, as a consumer of pop culture, it is not great that the Writer Guild of America has gone on strike.
This issue is not getting the media attention that it deserves so I will provide the details. As I’m sure you are all aware, all television shows and movies have writers. Well, not all. Reality shows do not, but who wants to watch “Tila Tequila” followed by “I Love New York” on repeat? The strike is taking place over “new media” that the writers want to get a bigger stake of. "How to create Mail To Do's from messages":
http://arstechnica.com/journals/apple.ars/2007/10/29/leopard-tip-how-to-...
Mail has new features that I really, really like. One of them is the To Do's, the other is "Note". Note has actually turned into a digital Note Pad of sorts for me.
Instead of using legal pads and mounds of paper, I am using Note to create digital "notes" and they get backed up with my Mail, I don't have to worry about reading more own handwriting, and I can email them to anyone.

Adobe is promising only to support/update current applications. Older applications will not be supported. Excerpt from compatibility support article:
"Older Adobe creative software was not designed to run on Mac OS X Leopard, so you may experience issues installing and using the software for which there are no solutions"
Follow the link below to the online PDF article about compatibility between Mac Os X Leopard and Adobe Applications: The PDF is a bit long, but there is a "At A Glance: Mac OS X Leopard Compatibility" chart that may give you the information you need without having to read through the entire document.

Apple Portables: Wait for pulsing sleep indicator light before moving system
When putting your Apple portable computer into sleep mode, be sure to wait a few seconds until the sleep indicator light starts pulsing before moving your Apple portable computer. The pulsing light indicates that the computer is fully asleep and the hard disk has stopped spinning.
Important: Moving your computer while the disk is spinning can damage the hard disk, causing loss of data or the inability to startup from the hard disk.
