Kimberly Brookes

Director of User Services

Description

I'm the Director of User Services for Technology at Simmons College. That amorphous title means that the managers of the Help Desk, Media Services, and General Access Computing and Labs report to me. Or, that I'm in charge of all desktop computing and classroom/delivery technology, until it gets to the jack, when it becomes Dave Bruce's issue. Sometimes. When I'm lucky.

Interests

Bicycling

Teaching

I have great fun a couple of times a year co-teaching a workshop for archivists about how to apply the SAA/LC standard called EAD (Encoded Archival Description), which is an XML DTD, to archival finding aids.
