On tonight’s episode of Gossip girl there were two instances in which I felt were highly relatable to the world of public relations. On this weeks episode of Gossip Girl, Serena is given a job as a media relations representative for a young congressman in New York. Although Serena has just graduated from high school this past year and has no public relations experience at all, she seems to get the job with ease. As the viewer we are led to believe that Serena was granted this job due to her rediculous social network and her model good looks. A situation such as this is quite frustrating for those of us who are hoping to emerge in the PR world in the years to come. We are spending thousands of dollars on an education to get us to where Serena is right out of high school. The situation just does not seem fair.

"Bad Romance" debuted at number nine on the November 14, 2009 chart of the Billboard Hot 100, making it the highest- ... more »
