Some thoughs from a senior
I have been thinking about how much has changed since I entered Simmons in the fall of 2004.
For one, podcasting was not around. When I took Bob's class my first year, I don't think any of us had ever heard of podcasts...now he teaches it in his class. The amount of technology that has just changed these past four years has blown my mind. iphones? I need to get myself one of those.
RED SOX. 86 years without a world series. TWO in FOUR YEARS! I love living in Boston.
My major : I knew I wanted to major in Communications...I don't think anything else would have been right for me, but I never thought I'd be completing three of the four offered tracks. If I had another semester, I probably would complete the fourth as well. I'm glad that I decided to go beyond the Integrated Media track and learn about Journalism and PR/MarComm. I think I will have an advantage when I graduate of having more options to choose from. Or so I like to tell myself.
SOUTH AFRICA. In hs, if someone asked if I wanted to travel abroad to South Africa, I probably would have laughed and told them no. Now, I'm dying for someone to ask me to go again. It was the most life-changing experience I have had at Simmons. It will probably be one of the things I will always remember from my four years here.
theres so much else that has changed that just completely overwhelms me and makes me wish i could spend another four years here just to see what happens.
