On Tuesday, November 10th (2:00-3:20 pm) in MCB, C104 Jon Cavallo will speak to our PR Seminar class about doing business in Asia. Mr. Cavallo is a senior consultant and engineer with Enercon, Inc., a global engineering firm that provides environmental, technical, and management services to private, public, and governmental sector clients throughout the world. He has collaborated extensively concerning power plant systems in the USA, China, Japan, and Korea. He will discuss his experiences working in these countries focusing on organizational cultural dimensions: similarities and differences. Feel free to join us.

Advanced Advertising (COMM 326) will be offered this spring on Monday and Wednesday, 6:30-7:50 pm. The exciting class will continue to develop team advertising campaigns for the client, KaBloom Florists. Students will develop radio, TV, print and online social media messages for both end-user consumers and retail florists. The final plansbooks will be presented by student teams during the end of the semester, and will be judged by a panel who will determine the recipients of the Communications Department Advertising Award, which will be presented to the students at CommWorks (The Show, The Party). The course seeks students with graphic design, copy, social media, radio, and motion graphics experience who are interested in applying their skill craft and in building their portfolios.
