Data Systems Manager, The Guild for Human Services, Concord, MA

Summary:  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Data Systems Manager works collaboratively across departments to ensure universal systems are in place for data collections and analysis.


Job Responsibilities 

  • Participate as key team member in the selection, procurement and migration to a comprehensive client record data system.

  • Ensure Guild Electronic Health Record is implemented with the appropriate quality dashboards, templates, and collection mechanisms that allow for consistent collection of quality data.

  • Ensure that data analysis is connected to data driven decision making across all tiers of intervention

  • Assist in data system assessments to identify gaps and opportunities to maximize system efficiencies.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with vendor representatives to improve data collection and analysis.

  • Training Data Collection/Reporting: Manages the staff training databases.

  •  Manages the Incident Accident Reporting database

  •  Supervise data entry staff

  • Manage the systems for tracking and reporting incident accidents, including submission of student and staff restraint injury reports to DESE, and preparation of quarterly restraint reports

  • Communicate information regarding high-profile incidents to program leadership and student teams as needed.

  • Provide reports as necessary for student teams meetings and investigations.

  • Collaborate with all departments to assess training needs and provide data for programming.

  • Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.

  • Able to attend training as required.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Essential Functions

  • Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn from skilled professionals.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job

  • Strong knowledge of Data analysis

  • Demonstrated experience in data collection tools and mitigation for measurement errors as to ensure data reliability;

  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely orally, visually, and in writing.



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's preferred

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in the human services and/or education field, preferably in mental health and intellectual disabilities, with substantial experience in the following:

    • Data System development,

    • Data Analysis

    • Developing and implementing service delivery models in related field

  • Knowledge of Massachusetts regulatory standards is required with preferred experience in regulatory compliance with standards from Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in database management, preferred

  • A valid driver's license

  • Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
