The Frontlines of Health Care IT: War Stories and Lessons Learned

Efforts to solve the most serious health care challenges, quality, cost, racial and gender disparities, or the implementation of "Obamacare", rely on major investments in new health care IT.

But can health care IT achieve what is expected of it?

Three Simmons alumnae--all frontline IT executives-- will address that question. The CIO of Partners HealthCare, one of the leading health care institutions in the country, will moderate.

You will hear: War stories from the frontlines. Early successes in meeting IT challenges. Lessons learned, sometimes the hard way.

The Panel:

  • James Noga, MS, Moderator Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Partners HealthCare
  • Maria Damiano, MBA (SOM 2000) Assistant Director, Medical Imaging IT, Brigham and Women's HealthCare Corporate Manager, BWHC Information Systems, Partners HealthCare
  • Jennifer Furlong, MHA (SOM 2012) Application Coordinator, Partners eCare
