Psychiatric Intensive Care Social Worker - Level III

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Schedule: Full-time 
Shift: Day shift - No Weekends - No Holidays
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Position Details: 

The Social Worker is responsible for providing social work services to all customer groups affected by illness/disability often including lifestyle adjustment difficulties. Understands utilization criteria and case management principles in a health care setting, as well as relevant community resources, insurance, regulatory, and legal system knowledge. 

Minimum Education:

• Master's degree in Social Work. 
Required Licenses/Certifications: 
• Licensed in the State of Vermont as an LICSW 

Minimum Work Experience:

• Experience in individual and family therapy.
• Five to seven years' experience working with the psychiatric population preferably in an inpatient setting. 
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of group theory and dynamics with experience in facilitating and co-facilitating groups.
• Exhibits knowledge of Best Practice, DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing.
• Collaborates with physicians to ensure systems are adjusted and maintained to assure compliance with CMS standards of care.
• Collaborates with risk management, legal representatives, and regulators that impact patient care treatment planning.
• Provides employee assistance in-services, and consultation to staff, physicians, and community providers about psychosocial aspects of care.
• Shows ability to provide on-call coverage on rotational basis and participates in coverage for peers on vacation or sick.
• Ability to manage supervision of students/volunteers.
• Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
