Clinical Program Director

Commonwealth Land Trust is looking for a Clinical Program Director.



•Responsible for overall program administration and direction
•Primary responsibility for quality control/oversight of all client files
•Responsibility for production of both private and government funder reporting documentation
•Supervises, trains and mentors case management staff
•Recruits and hires case management staff
•Identifies training needs for supervisees and recommends education opportunities
•Assists and supports staff in addressing complex client needs
•Advises staff regarding specific client concerns, diagnoses, case analysis, etc.
•Performs psycho-social evaluations for complex client cases as needed
•Liaises with outside service providers, mental and medical health professionals, government agencies, housing authorities, etc. to support clients, resolve problems and meet reporting requirements
•Identifies and recruits outside agencies to deliver on-site services to residents as well as provide relevant case management training to a range of staff
•Maintains regular contact with President & CEO to report problems, concerns, suggestions with regard to staffing or programs
•Attends unit, department and agency meetings as required
•Participates in continuing education
•Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor


•Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) strongly preferred; other comparable or higher degrees/licensures will also be considered
•Substantial prior work experience and training in providing and supervising mental health care to the chronically homeless, people with HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C, people with histories of drug and alcohol addiction and/or people living with mental illness
•Strong writing and verbal communication skills
•Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
•Strength in and affinity for program administration and direction and oversight of staff
•Senior-level experience supervising case management programs and staff from a wide range of educational backgrounds
•Ability to work well independently as well as with a team that includes agency staff from social services, housing management, maintenance, finance, and administration, as well as outside service providers, government agencies and community groups; skills to supervise same
•Strong commitment to agency mission of improving communities and ending homelessness through the vehicle of affordable, supportive housing programs
•Ability to work comfortably with people of varying racial/ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, language and socio-economic differences
•Strong work ethic and high productivity
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and Windows
•Bilingual Spanish & English (spoken & written) preferred
•Valid driver's license in good standing
