Highview of Northampton a 120-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation, long-term, respite and hospice care is seeking an MMQ Coordinator

The primary purpose or your position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Social Service Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.

  • Must possess, as a minimum a BSW from an approved school of Social Work.
  • A minimum of two (2) years Social Work experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled facility, or other health care related field preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies, personnel and general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the Privacy Rule and ensure all staff comply with facility privacy practices policies and procedures.
  • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level in which they are currently functioning.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing Social Service practices.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition/incident to the Interdisciplinary Team as appropriate.
