Live-In Responder

Property Management Firm with established Resident Services Program is seeking an after-hours Live-In Responder for newly constructed 70 units of permanent affordable housing serving Veterans located in Bedford, MA on the grounds of the VA Medical Center campus. The property has an on-site Computer Center, Fitness Room, and Community Room with TV along with an outdoor patio and grill area for resident use and enjoyment. Compensation is a new, furnished studio apartment with household amenities for free.

The Live-In Responder coordinates and assists residents with community room social activities and provides local resource information as may be requested. This position may retire for the evening at 11:00PM and is not required to remain overnight awake, however, is available in case of an emergency to contact 911 and other emergency responders and allow access to the building--or to contact the on-call maintenance technician in the case of a property emergency.

During the daytime hours a full-time Property Manager, Resident Services Manager, and Service Manager are on site along with Social Workers from the VA. The Live-In Responder will also attend any evening building-wide Resident Meetings coordinated by Management and/or the VA as part of the on-site team.

May be a fit for a Graduate Student, individual that served in the U.S. Armed Forces, individual with human services work and/or related volunteer experience, and others; take classes and/or work during the day then as a Live-In Responder be on-site at the housing by 6:00PM when the Management Office closes.
