Public Housing Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator HUD Grant

The Public Housing FSS Coordinator will oversee the Malden Housing Authority's Public Housing FSS program. The program's ultimate goal is to link residents to economic opportunities with other program partners. The Public Housing FSS Coordinator will conduct outreach and recruitment on behalf of the program in order to create awareness of, and interest in, program services among residents, match individual residents with program services, monitor the performance of community partners, and track the success of the program in helping residents to achieve economic self-sufficiency. For an elderly or disabled resident, the Public Housing FSS Coordinator arranges supportive services that allow them to maintain their independent lifestyle and enhance the social development of residents.

Qualifications:
College degree preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with low income, diverse, youth, elderly, and/or disabled populations. Preference given for candidates who have previous work experience providing and monitoring advocacy programs and public safety initiatives for a similar population. Must possess knowledge of local and regional social service delivery system and public safety initiatives and provide community service referrals. Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills, managerial experience, resource development and service coordination is required. Ability to work independently but also to lead program partners toward stated goals. Enthusiasm and ability to connect easily with people of diverse backgrounds and provide crisis intervention when necessary are necessary skills Computer literacy required. Must have car and be willing to travel.

Salary: $35,000 - $40,000/annually based upon experience. Part time hours will be considered
