Bilingual Mental Health Clinician - OBOT (Office Based Opioid Treatment program)

The purpose of this position is to provide ongoing assessment, intakes, evaluations and support services to opioid dependent patients. This clinician will also provide group and/or individual therapy. The clinician will provide expertise to providers and others regarding the treatment plan in conjunction with the medical needs of these patients. This clinician will also collaborate with team members and the patient with making outside referrals.

Location: Southampton Clinic and BHCHP's BMC Primary Care Clinic both in Boston's South End

Essential Duties:
• Provides initial behavioral health evaluation, once weekly group and/or individual therapy for opioid-addicted patients followed by BHCHP.
• Provides leadership in assisting primary care staff with problem solving of behavioral health concerns and/or psychiatric emergencies.
• Collaborates, communicates and meets with the OBOT team.
• Maintains frequent contact with patients' medical providers in order to provide comprehensive care.
• Makes referrals to outside addiction treatment programs or other supports as needed.
• Provides ongoing education and support of patients receiving opioid treatment medications.
• Provides follow up care in person and via telephone when needed.
• Completes appropriate documentation with excellent record keeping done in a timely fashion.
• Obtains billing authorizations in a timely fashion.
• Provides documentation for grants, projects, etc. as directed by supervisor.
• Undertakes projects and assignments as required.

• LICSW preferred, LCSW and LMHCs will also be considered.
• Experience with addiction, and the homeless population preferred.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with providers and team members form various settings.
• Knowledge of community and health resources, particularly addiction related resources and supports.
• Sensitivity to ethnic, cultural, gender, beliefs and behaviors
• Spanish Language skills highly preferred.
• Ability to work with patients with dual or multiple disorders who also have complex medical and social issues.
