Adult Community Clinical Services

ACCS is a comprehensive service provided by an Integrated Team of licensed clinicians, nurses, addictions, peer and other staff who will partner with individuals served to identify their  goals, develop treatment plans to address them and support them in reaching those goals.  The people served are all experiencing serious mental health conditions and have been put forward by the Department of Mental Health, having met their eligibility criteria.

Each person will be assigned an Engagement Team which will include two key staff, the Primary Clinician and Engagement Partner.  Other staff from the Integrated Team may be assigned as needed for extra support in the following areas:

  • Housing

  • Substance Abuse Treatment

  • Physical Health & Wellness

  • Peer Supports.

Everyone is different, so Engagement Teams will be built on an individual basis, based on interests, needs, and preferences.  The Engagement Teams will consist of staff who have special skills which may be useful in supporting individuals to reach their goals.  Engagement Team staff excel in using empathy, compassion, and understanding in building meaningful and respectful relationships, and want people to feel fully supported around their most important needs. The team will work with individuals in their preferred languages.

ACCS services are community-based, meaning that the team will meet people wherever they are, whether hospitalized, incarcerated, homeless, living with family, in their own apartments, or in a group living environment.  The ACCS model is rich with clinical staff, allowing for the hiring of many Licensed Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors. Jobs will be posted on the Bay Cove Human Services website at in the coming months.
