Clinician in Adult Developmental Disabilities, Autism and Acquired Brain Injuries

In this key organizational role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating treatment plans and developing clinical interventions that support happy, healthy lives for adults with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries and who have social/emotional needs receiving out of home care.

This candidate will function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and engage in:

  • care coordination
  • development of positive behavioral interventions and clinical supports
  • staff training on diagnosis, social/emotional needs and strengths-based approaches
  • development of person-centered treatment plans

The candidate will be taking the lead on developing and implementing clinical and behavior support plans for individuals, as needed. The candidate will be responsible for generating treatment plans and clinical interventions to be implemented in a therapeutic milieu for individuals with social, emotional and behavioral needs. The candidate will train staff to implement the therapeutic interventions, monitor the integrity of the interventions and collect data.
MAB is developing a new clinic for one to one services and the clinician will become a part of that team. The clinician will identify when individuals may be supported through integrated supports and will make recommendations to the inter-disciplinary team.
This individual must have the ability to direct staff teams working in residential and vocational programs to assist them in viewing behavior as a legitimate form of communication and to develop positive behavior supports and strengths-based solutions to acute and chronic behaviors.

Job Requirements
∙ 1-2 years experience working with people with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and/or autism.
∙ One of the following licenses is required: LICSW, LCSW or LMHC.
