Part time Program Coordinator

RSP's mission is to empower women and young adults of African descent who are disproportionately affected by diseases of the reproductive system. To articulate its vision, RSP mobilizes women to address deeply rooted racism and internalized racism, sexism, environmental/food injustice, and other social determinants of health that perpetuate silence and inaction surrounding these diseases.

This position will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the organization and its programs.

The Program Coordinator shall hold the following responsibilities:

Program and Scheduling
● Assist in the communication RSP's programmatic aims and objectives to participants, colleagues and the public
● Develop constituent trainings on public speaking, and community organizing strategies to enhance RSP's mission and goals
● Assist in volunteer recruitment and orientation to support RSP's public programming
● Prepare meeting and workshop materials, including development of PowerPoint presentations

Fundraising Responsibilities

● Assist in the planning and implementation of fundraising events
● Oversee printing, copying and mailing of all fundraising materials
● Support fundraising initiatives by sending timely donor acknowledgments

Administrative Responsibilities

● Coordinate maintenance of office equipment and phone systems ● Assist in the maintenance of smooth internal communications
● Manage general clerical duties
● Answer, screen and direct incoming phone calls

● Open, sort and respond to incoming correspondence, including email ● Handle requests for information and data
● Inventory office supplies and re-order as necessary
● Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems

● Record minutes at various meetings and archive them accordingly
● Assist in the creation and maintenance of all databases
● Organize and schedule workshops, meetings and appointments
● Coordinate travel arrangements as needed
● Assist in the maintenance of RSP's social media platforms and networks
● Perform all other related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate has-

● A Bachelor's degree
● Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software including Google Suite
● Ability to operate standard office equipment
● Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems, such as filing and record keeping
● Strong organizational and planning skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Flexible, adaptable and able to work as part of a team

Salary: $18 an hour
