Behavorial Health Clinician - HEART (Hope, Empathy and Recovery for Trauma)

Do you want to help migrant children who have been separated from their parents? Are you interested in providing behavioral health services to children, adolescent and families within a trauma focused, strength based environment? Family and Children's Services is recruiting full-time Spanish-speaking master's level clinicians for our grant- and contracted-funded programs.

JOB FUNCTION:
Provide culturally competent individual and family therapy from intake through completion of service

JOB EXPECTATIONS:
Supervision Requirements:

  • Meets with supervisor in accordance with program and licensing requirements.
  • Utilizes supervision effectively to address client related issues.
  • Utilizes supervision effectively to address performance issues and concerns.
  • Utilizes supervision effectively to explore professional development and training needs.

Program Quality Requirements:

  • Complete client centered treatment plans and progress updates
  • Maintain electronic health record using the MyEvolv system.
  • Ensures quality and accuracy of written and verbal communications.
  • Complete daily activity reports, weekly schedules and time sheets per established guidelines
  • Submits Level of Service (LOS) within program requirements.
  • Comply with the ethical standards and license requirements of respective professions
  • Comply with state confidentiality laws and child abuse reporting laws
  • Provide Treatment Summaries to referring agencies in a timely manner
  • Comply with Utilization Review Criteria for Admission, Continuation, and Completion of Services
  • Conducts self in a professional manner that positively reflects the agency culture.
  • Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem solve.
  • Attends agency and program meetings and trainings.
  • Plays an active role in meetings and trainings designed to enhance agency and program operations.
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

  • Other duties as assigned to perform the essential functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters level Clinician (LCSW, LSW, LPC, LAC, MFT, LMFT)
  • Experience providing therapy services to children/adolescents/families
  • Familiarity with issues surrounding undocumented families and unaccompanied migrant children
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of electronic health record system
  • Experience with evidenced based treatments preferred
  • Bilingual/Spanish-English
  • Evening and/or Saturday hours required
