Clinical Director

CRJ is a unique, 140 year old nonprofit organization headquartered in Boston, that provides direct care as well as research/consulting services within the areas of the Mental Health and the Criminal Justice field. Our three divisions, Social Justice Services, Community Strategies, and the Crime and Justice Institute are recognized for their effectiveness and contributions to this important work. 

Within Social Justice Services (SJS) we support men and women leaving incarceration and young adults with complex clinical needs to make positive, and sustainable life transitions. SJS provides residential and non-residential services and programming in addition to staff development opportunities for our workforce. As we aim on expanding our workforce as well as services to our clients we are hiring a Clinical Director to be responsible for providing all clinical supervision and to support our clinical Case Management team members in CRJ's Boston re-entry programs.

 

 

The Clinical Director will have a leadership role and clinical supervisory responsibilities for substance use disorder counseling and related educational and case management activities in multiple residential reentry programs (half-way houses), including all service delivery efforts and connections with external resources.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all clinical activities to ensure that quality, evidence-based, professional clinical services are provided to all clients.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with all clients, staff and outside contacts.
  • Develop, implement and review departmental policies and procedures to assure quality care and compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations.
  • Provide supervision to all clinical and educational staff, including timely and thoughtful job performance evaluations for all assigned staff.
  • Schedule, design, implement and maintain records of staff training and development activities.
  • Conduct trainings and guide professional development for CRJ staff in relevant topic areas.
  • Prepare all necessary reports, participate and/or facilitate administrative and staff meetings, conduct weekly case conference, and participate in other meetings as assigned.
  • Assist the Program Directors in ensuring that all required reports, records, and other materials concerning clients are complete, accurate and current. 
  • Provide direct client care as needed and supervise client medication procedures and behavioral health referrals.
  • Facilitate client educational classes and perform other duties of a Clinical Director as needed or assigned.
  • Administrative duties and tracking/ensuring compliance and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

  • LADC I (Master's Degree required)
  • At Least 2 years of Clinical supervisory experience, required.
  • Substance use disorders counseling experience, minimum of two (2) years, required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health and the treatment required.
  • Familiarity with MA DPH/BSAS regulations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. (Word, Excel, Outlook, SecureManage)
  • Ability to work with a diverse population required.
  • Valid driver's license and Reliable Transportation
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish helpful
