Part-time flexible hours including nights and weekends are available. Individuals with lived experience encouraged to apply. Outreach specialists will be based in Norwood, Wakefield, Milford, Bedford, or Chelsea and will receive supervision from existing team leaders at the assigned location. Performance based bonus opportunity in addition to hourly pay rate for individuals who remain employed to support the project through the end of December 2019.

Behavioral Health Outreach & Engagement Specialist: The Riverside Community Partners (BH CP) Program operates under a contract with the MassHealth office of the Massachusetts EOHHS. The purpose of the Program is to develop a new integrated care management model for individuals with challenged by complex social, behavioral, and medical situations.

Behavioral Health Outreach & Engagement Specialist is an important temporary role, needed to support a time-limited initiative focused on a high volume of hard to reach individuals who are eligible for Program services. The ultimate goal of this project initiative is successful completion of member enrollment appointments between the target population and Program care coordinators. The Member Outreach Specialist supports Behavioral Health Community Partners (BH CP) team by contacting potential members by phone or in the community, developing member interest in the program, conducting intake appointments for program enrollment, and assisting members to reconnect with their MassHealth coverage.

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in working with people with behavioral health disorders required; experience working with substance use disorders preferred.
  • Ability to use a computer for word processing, EHR and email/Outlook Calendar, and the Internet for resource searches and assisting clients with online surveys and using online decision-making tools required
  • Regular access to reliable transportation is required in order to meet with members in the community, attend required trainings, meetings and/or fulfill other responsibilities of this role.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor level college experience or degree in a behavioral health or social service field required
