Halloween is a fun time in New England. Especially in the Boston area. Salem is just a short commuter train ride away and there are so many things to do in the area.
The darker side of Halloween is the food. Candy apples, mountains of candy, and tons of other delicious but really fatty foods. Here are some tips that can help you through this holiday.
1. Don't buy candy until the day of Halloween for those trick or treaters!
2. Buy candy you don't like so you won't be tempted to eat it.
3. When going to a party eat before you go.
4. Choose a seat away from the snack table.
5. Work out before you go out!
Have a Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!
The song of the evening is Harpua, by Phish. Here's a link:
http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/search/?query=harpua%20p
I don't even have a comment on this one. It's a crazy song, it's a long song, and it tells a Halloween story! But before it gets into that, it's real funky and they sing about Harpua...whatever that is. Have a fun time tonight everyone!
Until next time.

So thursday night I drove to UVM and did the show... of course partied in the cast and crew suites (we get treated well)... then friday drove back to Boston to do the show for our first halloween night, then did it all over again Saturday night, the night of Halloween and performed for a crowd over 430 people.
I currently have no voice.... at all.... but my hair is pink :)
oh if anyone hears of rumors of the murder of Mr. Kool Aid in the Beacon Street bathroom.... it wasn't me.
So when *not* dying my hair pink in the bathroom, I did *not* make a huge mess where it looked like I stabbed Mr. Kool Aid several times. .... "OHH YAHH... oh no"
On a lighter note... for Halloween, the whole lights crew did an Alice in wonderland theme. I was alice, my boyfriend was the Mad Hatter, I designed his "10/6" card on photoshop... really simple but i felt cool. My friend was the door knob... she painted her body this brassy gold color which gave this like flaky peel which was cool.. then had a gold c ... more »

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but this one was my first as a 21-year-old, so I was more excited than ever. On Thursday my friends and I went to the Witches Brew at Our House, which was a Simmons sponsored event. It was fun, but my friends and I ended up going to Cornwalls to end the night. I had never been to either place and I liked them. They were both a bit more mellow, but that might have been because it was only Thursday night aka day 1 of our weekend-long excursion.
On Friday I headed over to a party on Comm Ave with my roommate. The party was really fun and they had pretty good decorations, so it was lots of fun. I left a bit early to head to a bar to meet up with some of my other friends. Let me just say, there is nothing funnier than getting on the T at midnight and listening to the drunken conversations of costumed college kids. I made some new friends on the trai ... more »
