Berklee College of Music to host high profile Business of Hip-Hop Symposium

On Wednesday February 20, 2008 Berklee College of Music will host the second annual Business of Hip-Hop Symposium in two parts. Sponsored by The Music Business/ Management Department, The Office for Cultural Diversity, and The Office of Academic Affairs, the Symposium will bring top-tier industry professionals to the campus. his event, initiated in 2007, serves as an educational forum that explores business and social issues pertaining to Hip-Hop, and creates an exchange of ideas and information.

PART ONE: The Choice is Yours
The David Friend Recital Hall at 4:00PM.
This panel and discussion will examine the impact of exploitation in music, social responsibility in marketing and business, and discovering ways to progress forward. Space is limited for this event, RSVP is requested. Please RSVP to dwicknick@berklee.edu by February 15, 2008

PART TWO: Executive Roundtable and Q&A
7:00PM in the Berklee Performance Center
A session moderated by Grammy-winning Music Production/Engineering faculty member PRINCE CHARLES ALEXANDER in an energized, interactive conversation with some of Hip-Hop’s most successful professionals. Participants will gain powerful insight from entrepreneurial and major-label Hip-Hop career tracks and have ample opportunity for questions.
No RSVP is necessary for this event.
