The Sixteenth Note

Posted by Anjelica Montemayor

Hey there! So this is my first ever blog and I've decided on music for the topic. Sure, I like most genres of music, but my favorite is alternative rock. My mother calls it "loud noise", but I call it "my sanity." This blog will cover new bands, upcoming concerts in the Boston area(there are so many concerts coming up and sadly I cannot attend all of them), my favorite bands and songs, and my own personal scary and amazing experiences from concerts. In every blog I will also tell you what I'm currently listening to and I will give you guys some suggestions on what you should be listening to. Also I love questions!!! So I guess that's it...I hope. O' wait as I was writing this I was jammin to If It Means A Lot To You by A Day To Remember!! Wicked good song and band and it was part of my summer '09 soundtrack lol. If you guys have any suggestions for me that would be awesome as well. Peace People-Gel

If you do go, stay in the back and bring your health insurance card....no I'm not kidding. Also ... more »

I saw Regina Spektor last night on her tour supporting her new album "Far"... she was so amazing. I can't even put into words how great her voice is, and what a great performer she is. Here are two videos I took of the show.... one of my favorite part of "Folding Chair" and one of "That Time". Enjoy!

Langhorne Slim to play T.T. The Bears

Posted by Emily Mills

Langhorne Slim and The War Eagles are going to play a show at T.T. The Bears on October 17th, 2009. This show is in support of his new album "Be Set Free" which I plan on reviewing as soon as I can get my hands on it (They aren't selling it at Best Buy and Newbury Comics is just too far away).

Once again, here is the link to Langhorne Slim's myspace:

hey people!!! So its been mad long since i last blogged. So let me just catch everyone up:

1) Went home last weekend to work, hit up the big e, and get my tattoo done. Worked sucked balls ( as usual), the Big E was wicked fun and I ate a lot of food, like a bus load! Went to Northampton with my friend because she wanted another piercing and I wanted another tattoo but sadly Scott didn't have time for me, he was booked all flippin day :( So prolly this weekend coming up!!

2) Saw Shadows Fall with my friend at the House of Blues and they were awesome (can't say the same for Five Finger Death Punch though...) Shadows Fall is actually from Springfield,MA. Where I'm from!! Big Ups to all my fellow 413 people!! So I met a lot of people from the surrounding areas of Springfield.

I think that's it for this entry, but im putting another one up right after this one because im a lil behind...hehehe schools just been kickin my ass lately (can we swear in these blogs?...o well)

peace people!

hey people!! So ive been listening to this band called Framing Hanley for some time now,and they are amazing!! not to mention the lead singer is fly but currently taken....i know so sad. But everyone should check them out cause they have wicked lyrics!

Last Wednesday I bought The Used and The Almost tickets for the house of blues on the 23rd. I have always been a fan of the used cause they're great and put on great shows!! so usually every wednesday Livenation has this promotion where you can get tickets for mad cheap or they are like half off, or there are no service charges( which are awesome because its always those damn service charges that make the tickets so expensive). I only paid like 70 bucks for 4 tickets which in my book is great because ive paid hella lot of money for concert tickets in the past. Also the used just came out with a new album that is flippinfantastic! but i hope they play some of their old stuff at the concert as well.

So I know everyone bought paramores n ... more »

The Sixteenth Note -AP Tour!!

Posted by Anjelica Montemayor

Hey people!!

So I hope everyone had a safe and wicked Halloween! I loved seeing everyones original costumes. For example I saw a couple, where one was wearing an electrical outlet and the other person was wearing the plug. It was so cute and very original. But i saw a lot of Ninja turtles, which was annoying. O and we saw quite a few of sookie stackhouse's as well.

So I am attending the AP Tour Fall Ball with a couple of my friends on Thursday at the house of blues. The Academy is... and Mayday Parade are performing. I'm mainly going because of Mayday Parade because they are awesome. I've seen them before and they always put on a great show. SO you guys should check them out!!

Currently Listening to: Alone in this Bed- Framing Hanley

peace people!
