Behavior Clinician

At Family Service of Greater Boston the Behavior Clinician will conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop treatment plans in family's home to increase child's adaptive behaviors and reduce or eliminate challenging behaviors. Provide training and support to "behavior monitor" who implements the plan with caregiver and child. The clinician remains available for consultation, treatment plan revisions, and periodic visits to assess progress while the monitor visits weekly. Additional responsibilities include: collaborating with other providers, designing systems of data collection, monitoring progress and modeling interventions. As well as supporting parents and caregivers in using demonstrated behavior management strategies and provide individualized ongoing treatment planning. Children served range from ages 2-21 and may include a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mood disorder, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and other behavioral health disorders. BCBA supe rvision is provided in addition to access to LICSW supervision.


Masters degree in human service field, plus minimum 2 + years direct experience with children and caregivers, ABA coursework and direct experience ABA and behavior planning leading to eligibility for BCBA preferred. Experience with special education needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder, oppositional defiant and avoidant behaviors. 

Skills/Abilities: Candidate must be proficient in building relationships with clients and providers, be organized, perseverant, creative, and possess exceptional listening and observation skills. Candidate should be adaptive and have the ability to work with families of various cultural/ethnic backgrounds. Ability to work in a team a must. Bilingual (Spanish) skills highly desired.
