Prevention & Screening Quality Assurance Coordinator

Support the Prevention and Screening Programs at the AIDS Action Committee in ensuring high quality prevention and screening service delivery through multiple quality assurance and program evaluation activities. Assist with program and agency wide evaluation activities.

Duties:

1. Ensure compliance with and timely submission of public and private funder data requirements, through data entry, coordination and review with program managers and directors.
2. Provide technical assistance to program managers on the completion of all Prevention and Screening data collection tools. This includes maintaining current funder instructions, quality assurance checks, and delivering timely feedback to managers and the directors on areas requiring quality improvement. 
3. Works collaboratively with the Program Evaluation Manager and other key personnel to monitor all Prevention and Screening activities entered into the agency-wide database. This includes standardized database trainings, monitoring progress toward funding and work plan deliverables, and developing internal data review reports as requested.
4. Monitor and troubleshoot the client electronic database for Prevention and Screening programs to ensure data collection and reporting is accurate, streamlined and meets programmatic needs and deliverables.
5. Provide infrastructure and systems support around keeping updated procedures, inventory, and key documents for institutional memory and adherence with local, state and federal guidelines. 
6. Support managers and directors around the compliance and quality assurance of all prevention and screening services. This includes ensuring laboratory compliance at each testing location through regular review of QA logs; coordinating external laboratory accreditation; maintaining updated state and federal laboratory and testing waivers; overseeing sample submission protocol; coordinating test result follow up; communicating with state laboratory regarding sample submission issues or questions, as needed.
7. Assist with grant and report writing and submissions, as needed.
8. Attends program, department, agency, collaborator and funder meetings, as required.
9. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Public Health, or related field preferred. 
• Equivalent two years' experience implementing related quality assurance activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and high level of experience using computers and web based software.
• Strong quality assurance, analytical and problem solving skills. 
• Experience in program evaluation and data collection in HIV/AIDS or related health field. 
• Demonstrated ability to teach others to effectively implement data systems. This includes the ability to adapt teaching styles based on staff literacy levels and display patience.
• Highly organized and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and changing environment with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of, and interest in, local, state and national HIV/AIDS community trends, harm reduction, and at-risk populations and commitment to issues related to health disparities and social justice.
• Interest in program evaluation and developing quality assurance processes that lead to better service delivery and improved health outcomes.
• Ability to support the mission of AIDS Action Committee.
