Program Assistant, Minority Fellowship Program-Youth

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), a nonprofit national association and the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the United States, has a part-time opportunity open for a program assistant with its Minority Fellowship Program. The program assistant will provide administrative support for activities related to the CSWE Minority Fellowship Program-Youth (MFP-Y) master's fellowship. The MFP-Y is funded by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to help students complete graduate studies in social work and enter the behavioral health workforce prepared to serve the target population of children, adolescents, and transition aged youths. The MFP-Y program assistant will be responsible for assisting two program managers and the director in the implementation of program activities and operations.

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate or advanced degree, preferably in social work or a related field such as psychology or public health; exceptional research and analytical skills, and demonstrated experience in website maintenance or managing Web-based surveys. The program assistant must have impeccable writing skills, superior attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to write content for reports, articles, and promotional materials for various audiences. Also required are experience hosting topical webinars, including managing registration and audio. Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as GoToWebinar and Adobe Connect is a plus.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who can work independently with minimal direction, deliver superb customer service, and handle multiple projects simultaneously while assisting a team with processing and review of Web-based program applications.

This position is grant-funded up through January 2017. CSWE is a 501(c)3 organization with more than 30 staff and is located across from the King Street Metro Station in Alexandria.
