DBT Recovery Partnership Counselor

As a Recovery Partnership Counselor, you will provide direct support to women with Borderline Personality Disorder in a small residential Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Specialty Program in Taunton, MA. In your role, you will work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by assisting clients in envisioning and creating a "life worth living". Recovery Partnership Counselors have a range of duties include administering medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP), implementing rehabilitative treatment plans, and assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as household chores and meal prep. While providing support and ensuring safety of all residents, Recovery Partnership Counselors also strengthen residents' connection to their community by providing transportation on outings such as shopping and doctor's appointments.

Additional duties include:

Participation in weekly team meetings to review cases
Participation in individual and group supervision
Completion of documentation in electronic medical records
Learning and supporting clients with DBT skills coaching
Supporting clients with symptoms of self-injury, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, substance use and PTSD

Qualifications: High school degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with individuals with mental illness, specifically personality disorders, preferred. Must be willing to work as part of a collaborative team. Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and be willing to hold firm limits to ensure the safety of all clients. Familiarity with DBT and/or skill based treatment highly preferred.
