Program Manager- Family Transitional and Permanent Housing

The Program Manager- Family Transitional and Permanent Housing oversees all aspects of Heading Home's Family Transitional and Permanent Housing programs ensuring that programs are meeting contractual obligations and service delivery goals. Family Transitional and permanent Housing programs include:
- Pathways to Permanent Housing (PPH)
- Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA)
- Families Achieving Success for Tomorrow (FAST)
- Wales - Permanent Housing Program
- Stabilization Program


• Participates in the recruitment, orientation and training of program staff
• Provides ongoing, individual and group, supervision and evaluation to program staff; Ensures that programs are adequately staffed, recommends hiring/releasing staff
• Participates in the recruitment and initial screening of potential program participants
• Oversees the delivery of client services, makes assessments of program impact and recommends program/policy changes
• Provides detailed framework for working with staff to address program changes, compliance with new expectations and work with new collaborators
• Serves as liaison between Transitional and Permanent Housing programs and other Heading Home family and individual programs
• Oversees the recording and tracking of processes and outcome data for assigned programs
• Maintains accurate files, data entry and monthly reports as required
• Ensures completion of all initial assessments with participants (when applicable) using the Bridge to Self Sufficiency Assessment (BSS) developed by Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath), which is supported by five critical pillars: family stability, well-being, education and training, financial management, and employment and career management
• Works within a team approach to support efforts of program participants to adapt (when necessary) and meet goals related to their BSS
• Serve as liaison with Community based organizations, attends meetings with such organizations as needed
• Ensures effective implementation of informational sessions (when applicable) for staff, and individuals and groups of potential participants-either directly or through delegation to program staff
• Ensures that adherence to behavior change models such as Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed Care are in place, and develops protocols and standards for appropriate monitoring throughout program
• Actively participates in Senior and Family Leadership teams meetings
• Perform other tasks as requested by the Director of Family Services, Chief Operation Officer or the Executive Director
• Observes program and agency rules and policies

• Five years' experience working with homeless and/or low income populations.
• Master's Degree required; MSW or LICSW preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to thrive in a dynamic environment. Able to exhibit sound social work and coaching concepts
• Able to manage multiple tasks and crisis
• Must be able to relate to persons of diverse backgrounds and functioning levels
• Must be able to climb up to three or more sets of stairs, carry up to 15 lbs., sit at a desk and perform paperwork and writing functions. A valid Massachusetts driver's license in good standing and car required

Salary: $53,000+
